Sophie Langohr

Sophie Langohr is a visual artist who lives and works in Liège. Sophie is a multidisciplinary artist and has numerous creations to her name. Her art, which has won many awards, usually focuses on the body and its image, on virtual images and the codes of advertising.

Her work is based on the study and interpretation of works from the past. She appropriates images and objects steeped in history and expresses herself through their own modes of construction and production of meaning. Using a variety of remanufacturing processes, she revisits them, hijacks them and subverts them to make them speak differently in new contexts.
